About the Doctor

I grew up in Sacramento, CA and attended Mira Loma High School. After graduating from high school, I spent my first two years of college at Sacramento State College. I was accepted to the University of California, Davis where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and met my future wife, Marilyn. Marilyn and I were married in Sacramento before we left in the fall for my training for Dental School at the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduating from UCLA Dental School, I completed my orthodontic training at the University of California, San Francisco Dental School. After receiving my certificate of completion from UCSF, my wife and I purchased an orthodontic practice at our current location, 1213 Coffee Road from a UCSF orthodontist, Dr. Wes Peterson. We have continued that practice for the last 30 years in that same location.

I am a past president and current member of the Stanislaus Dental Society. I also belong to the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. I currently serve as chairman of the local Dental Society Well Being Committee, and also serve as a board member of the Stanislaus Dental Foundation.

In my spare time, I love playing tennis in a USTA mixed doubles team league, own and enjoy driving and working on my hot rod, along with attending car shows. I also just resumed a passion of mine, which is building and flying remote control airplanes. Also, I used to play the bass guitar in a working band for about five years, but now play music with a group of my friends every couple of months.
